Nana's Birthday Party

We went to Hot Springs to celebrate Nana's birthday this year. It was great to see everyone and the kids had a ball feeding the ducks and geese! Always a fun time at Uncle Philip and Aunt Bobbie's house!

Girl Scout Cookies

Although Kennedy joined GS after the cookie sale, she was able to be a part of the "leftover cookies sale" at Harp's with her troop.

Girl Scouts International Tea

The Girl Scouts had an International Tea Day at HU. Kennedy's troop represented Greece. Vivi's grandma, who is Greek, was kind enough to make the girls hat and skirt. They performed a Greek dance, had Greek food, and did a great job making a poster for their table.

We had a great weekend at Papa and Gigi's with Uncle Kyle and Aunt Katy. Playing the Wii, playing games, playing outside and going out to eat-always a fun time.

Kennedy was in a Daisy Scout troop in NC, and now she has decided to join again in AR. Her troop meets once a month and has many fun activities and events planned.

I had the privilege to help with Kennedy's class Valentine's Day Party! It was so much fun-for the moms as well as the kids.

Jump Rope for Heart

Kennedy participated in the Jump Rope for Heart this year at school and collected money for the American Heart Association. She jumped in honor of her Gigi (heart surgery), her late cousin David (heart transplant) and her late grandpa John (heart attack). She collected enough money to earn 4 prizes!

This is a cause that is so important to all of us. So proud of you, Kennedy!

My snow babies!!!

Searcy got between 5-6 inches of snow on Wednesday. Not a lot for some places, but enough to shut down the town of Searcy!

Kennedy has been out of school since Wednesday. The Will helped to provide a lot of entertainment while we were snowed in and we got another chance to enjoy snow cream! The kids enjoyed finally getting out and playing in the snow today.

Kennedy's First Concert

Jordan took Kennedy to The Band Perry's concert at Harding University despite the icy weather. They had a great time all the way up until Kennedy crashed! She fell asleep after their 2nd song :) I guess 6-9:45 is just too long of a day for our 7 year old! She slept on her daddy's shoulder for the remainder of the concert.

The Band Perry is up for a Grammy as Best New Artist this year. Thank you for the tickets, Gigi!

After School Play Date

Kennedy had her first 1st grade after school play date. It was with her buddy and class mate, Ivan. She rode home with Ivan after school, had a snack, played, did homework :), ate dinner and played some more. She had a blast. I am thankful for sweet friends like Ivan for my little girl. It is special because Ivan's aunt was one of my besties in high school and I know his Dad. Very neat that these 2 have become friends, too.
