Jackson-23 Months

Happy 23 months, baby boy!
Just 1 more month before you are 2 years old! I cannot believe that is true. You have a new found sense of independence-let the 2's begin!

Here are some of the things about you at 23 months:
*You tell "knock knock" jokes-in your own way. Example: Knock, knock. Who's there? Table. Table who? And then you just laugh!! It's so hilarious!
*You love to say No!
*You love to climb and stand on tables, chairs-anything!
*Go, Diego, Go! is still your favorite cartoon.
*You will say: "Daddy"? Dadday answers "What"? Then you go through Mama, Kennedy and Chandler Grace. But, after we all answer what-you don't say anything.
*You take off running (not moving your arms) and don't always stop when you are told.
*ALL BOY-totally fearless
*Very sensitive and sweet
*Ask "WHY!"

*Say "because"

*Favorite food pizza
*Favorite drink chocolate milk
*Still don't like meat-only hot dogs
*Always want to go outside
*Love taking baths-ask all day!
* Love to wear your big sister's shoes and hats!!
*When you get in trouble and I say "You hear me?" You say, "Hear me" instead of "Hear you"!
*Love to pretend talk on phone
*Can count to 14 in English
*Can count to 10 in Spanish
*Identifies triangle, square, circle, 1, 2, 3, A, B, & C.
*Identifies colors
*Can sing the alphabet song
*Can sing the Happy Birthday song
*Loves to jump
*Love to pretend you're a dinosaur, monster or any animal that roars!
*Know the sounds animals make
*Loves playing with the kids at the gym twice a week and when we get there, you say, "friends"!
*Love to be read a book at bedtime-then cry when it's over
*Take nap 12:30-2:30 or 1-3.
*Go to bed at 8-usually asleep by 8:30/sometimes 9
*Up at 7-no later than 7:30
*Idolizes Kennedy and loves to play with her
*Adores Chandler Grace and loves to hug and kiss her
*Mama's boy and Daddy's boy

Chandler Grace's First Steps!

I don't know the actual date of the "first step"-we've seen wobbly attempts for the past few weeks, but we are claiming last Thursday, April 17th, when it was undeniable and repeated, the date! We just cannot believe it-it's so exciting. Kennedy and Jackson get so excited and cheer for her when she does it. We all battle over who she will walk to! We've got to get this on video, but I managed to take some shots on Thursday. I believe this is earlier than Kennedy or Jackson-I'll have to go back and check dates. Anyway, it seems early that my smallest baby is already taking her first steps!

Chandler Grace Gets Her 5th Tooth

This morning, I found that Miss Chandler Grace had cut her 5th tooth! And from the looks of it she'll have more joining pretty soon! She just looks adorable with all of her new teeth!

Kennedy Starts Tae Kwon Do

Kennedy had her first Tae Kwon Do class yesterday. She was too excited and, so were we when we saw her in there doing her thing! She minded Master Berry and did as she was instructed! We were so proud of her. We are hoping that this will be a fun and active sport that will provide positive benefits.

I got tears in my eyes just watching her yesterday! She looked so cute, and I could tell this will be a great benefit to her.

We celebrated by going to Salsarita's and eating outside and letting Kennedy and Jackson run and play on the grass. It was such a beautiful day and they had a ball.

Kennedy's Tae Kwon Do classes will be Thursday afternoons from 4-4:30 and on Saturday mornings 10-10:30.

After 2 weeks, they hold a ceremony to formally invite her to join the school and present her with a uniform. We are all very excited about this and for the outcome!

Wagon Ride

Jordan kept the kids while I went grocery shopping at Wal Mart Saturday morning, and took them on a wagon ride around the neighborhood. They had fun enjoying the warm morning and being outside.

Chandler Grace - 10 Months

Today you are 10 months old! What a blessing you have been each month you've been in our lives.
This past month you've done a lot of new things:

*Stand from sitting
*First sippy cup

*First Juice

*First solid food-carrots, peas, potatoes (love bread!)

*First Stage 3 foods

*Cut top 2 teeth (4 teeth total!)

*Shake your head "no" and say "na na na" when you get upset after being told "No" or if you get frustrated

*Make more noise

*Dance

*Squat and Stand

*Climb stairs (& over and on everything!)

*To get you to quit crying in the car, I hand you my brush-works every time!

*You hold your hair when you go to sleep

*When we see you crawling for something that is off-limits you crawl as fast as you can to it!

*Very gentle

*Very feminine

*Very sweet

*Loves to cuddle

*Usually very quiet

*Laugh the hardest at Kennedy
