For your birthday this year, we surprised you with a shopping spree to Justice and let you get your ears pierced! We were already in the car and gave you a birthday card with your surprise written in it. You were SOOOO excited and I'll have to say you weren't the only one who had one of your best days ;)

You had so much fun, Kennedy, and it was thrilling to watch you shop, pick out and try on in your favorite store, as well as hold your hand while you got your long time wish of getting your ears pierced. Happy Birthday, baby girl!

Kennedy was wonderful as Narrator 1 and a spoon in Center on the Square's KidStage production of Beauty and the Beast. Opening night Papa, Gigi, Grandpa, Grandma and even Aunt Bobbie and Nana came from Hot Springs to see Kennedy in her first play. Daddy was out of town on business, but was there for Saturday and Sunday's plays. After the play we went with Seth and his parents to Sno Island to celebrate. On the final night of the play, there was a cast party where you guys had pizza and watched the play on a huge screen outside. You thought that was very cool.

Happy Father's day to Jordan, Papa and Grandpa!

You guys gave Daddy his gifts this morning: an outdoor canvas chair, ice cream scooper and a Father's Day saw balloon that said "to the best daddy I ever saw".

We took Grandpa and Grandma to lunch at Huckleberry's and had Papa and Gigi over to cook out burgers for dinner. Great day celebrating great fathers!

Jump Rope for Heart

Kennedy participated in the Jump Rope for Heart this year at school and collected money for the American Heart Association. She jumped in honor of her Gigi (heart surgery), her late cousin David (heart transplant) and her late grandpa John (heart attack). She collected enough money to earn 4 prizes!

My snow babies!!!

Searcy got between 5-6 inches of snow on Wednesday. Not a lot for some places, but enough to shut down the town of Searcy!

Kennedy has been out of school since Wednesday. The Will helped to provide a lot of entertainment while we were snowed in and we got another chance to enjoy snow cream! The kids enjoyed finally getting out and playing in the snow today.

Jordan took Kennedy to The Band Perry's concert at Harding University despite the icy weather. They had a great time all the way up until Kennedy crashed! She fell asleep after their 2nd song :) I guess 6-9:45 is just too long of a day for our 7 year old! She slept on her daddy's shoulder for the remainder of the concert.

The Band Perry is up for a Grammy as Best New Artist this year. Thank you for the tickets, Gigi!

Jackson asked me if just the two of us could do something together. When I asked what he wanted us to do, he said he wanted to "go on a date to a restaurant and then go somewhere to look at grown up and kid's stuff" :)

Casa Brava and Wal Mart was the perfect solution!

When we got to Casa Brava (he chose Mexican), I noticed he had both hands clinched. When I asked what he had in his hand, he opened it and said he wanted to pay! He had a one dollar bill in one hand and a quarter in the other.

He was the perfect gentleman. He ran ahead of me to open the door and when the hostess asked "How many" he held up 2 fingers. When we were seated at the booth, he sat down and I sat on the other side. He said "Mom, you're supposed to sit NEXT to me-we're on a date! So I did, and we had the best time! After dinner, the waiter brought the ticket and Jack said, "I'll take that!" I don't know where he learned that. I let him pay and when we went outside he wanted to sit on the bench and "visit" :) We did, then headed to Wal Mart.

What can I say? I love this little boy with all of my heart. He always treats me like a princess. I absolutely adore him and am very blessed to have him for my son!

Six years ago the courts legalized what we already knew in our hearts to be true; that Kennedy had always been and will always be our baby girl.

We celebrate this precious day each year with Adoption Day.

For A Day I took Lemon Iced Cookies from Key Lime Cottage (Kennedy's favorite) to school for her class. When she got home from school, the 5 of us had her party outside. She got her wish for a skate board and lemon ice box pie :)

That night, Gigi took Kennedy to the Moon Festival at Harding University and let her spend the night for A day. After Jack's game on Saturday, we continued celebrating by going to Chuck E Cheese to play games and then across the street to eat at US Pizza.

We spent the 4th of July at the Lincoln's swimming, grilling jalepeno and cheese stuffed hot dogs wrapped in bacon, watching the guys play ultimate frisbee, and shooting fireworks. At any point of the evening you could find Jackson holding Titan, Emily's Yorkie. All. evening.

Kennedy loved running around with Matyson and Matalyn. Chandler Grace hung by her Mama and Jackson.

This year we had Kennedy's birthday party after returning from RI. It happened to fall on a Tuesday, the 29th, which was exactly 7 years from the day we picked her up from the hospital! Very special.
